Subject areas include business and finance, travel and tourism, information technology and computing, multimedia, art and design, catering and hospitality, childcare, health and social care, barbering and hairdressing, make-up and beauty therapy, science, sports and fitness.

In May 2024, KLTVET was rebranded as the Kuala Lumpur Business & TVET Institute (KLTVET), governed and under the authority of the Administrative Council of the Malaysian Business Empowerment Council (MPPM).
